Running a small crew on planting, bed work and hardscape installs across Western New York.
You will run a crew of two or three on installs: planting, bed construction, edging, grading and paver work. That means reading the estimate, setting the sequence, keeping the crew moving, and being the person the client speaks to on site. The owner is on site regularly, so you are not out there without support.
What the job involves
- Running a small crew day to day and keeping work to the agreed scope
- Setting out beds, walkways and patios from the plan or estimate
- Operating skid steers, plate compactors, augers and general install equipment
- Checking grade, base depth and drainage before anything gets finished
- Talking to clients on site and flagging changes before they become problems
What we need from you
- Several seasons of landscape install experience, including hardscape
- Valid driver licence; comfortable towing a loaded trailer
- Able to read an estimate or a simple plan and work to it
- Willing to take responsibility for the crew’s work and safety
Helpful, not essential
- Experience with retaining wall construction and proper base preparation
- Any equipment or safety certification
Season and hours
Full season, with winter snow supervision available. Pay depends on experience and what you can run on site, and we discuss it openly before you start.
